How to Update APN Settings on iOS or Android

IMPORTANT: Our eSIMs automatically configure your network settings (including APN) the moment you activate them. You shouldn't need to do anything manually. If you have any doubts, please contact us before making changes to your settings.

To update the APN (APN Name) for your eSIM plan, please follow the steps below.

Update APN on iPhone / iPad (iOS)

  1. Open Settings and go to Cellular (it may be called Mobile or Mobile Service) 
  2. Tap your eSIM plan, which may be called "Travel", or something else.
  3. Tap Cellular Data Network.
  4. In the APN fields, enter the APN setting according to your eSIM plan page.
  5. Please see an example here.
  6. Leave other settings as it is.
  7. Tap < Connect at the top left to save the configuration.
  8. Turn on Airplane Mode and wait 30 seconds, then switch off again. This will force the device to re-connect to the cellular network.

Update APN on Android

  1. In your phone's Settings, go to Mobile & Network
  2. Tap the eSIM plan,which may be called "Carrier" or something else. Then scroll down to Access Point Names
  3. Tap Menu, then tap Add
  4. In the first field,please type any name in "Name" area. In "APN" area, check APN setting in your eSIM plan page.
  5. Please see an example here.
  6. Leave other settings as it is.
  7. Return to the previous screen and select the new APN.
  8. Restart the device to reset the mobile network.
